Here, we have to apply the Pythagoras theorem to get the answer. We will take the square of each number i.e. 20 and 15, which are 400 and 225 respectively. Next, we will add them and the result of addition is 625. Finally, we will take the square root of the addition and the result is 25 m. So, the minimum distance here is 25 m.

Q 9 - Wridhimaan started to move towards East in an open field and stopped after moving 55m. Now he turned to his right-hand side and moved 25 m. How much minimum distance he has to cover to reach his starting point?

Options :

Here, we have to apply the Pythagoras theorem to get the answer. We will take the square of each number i.e. 55 and 25, which are 3025 and 625 respectively. Next, we will add them and the result of addition is 3650. Finally, we will take the square root of the addition and the result is 60.41 m. So, the minimum distance here is 60 m.

Here, we have to apply the Pythagoras theorem to get the answer. We will take the square of each number i.e. 48 and 38, which are 2304 and 1444 respectively. Next, we will add them and the result of addition is 3748. Finally, we will take the square root of the addition and the result is 61.22 m. So, the minimum distance here is 61 m.
