Options :

Here, we have to apply the Pythagoras theorem to get the answer. We will take the square of each number i.e. 25 and 10, which are 625 and 100 respectively. Next, we will add them and the result of addition is 725. Finally, we will take the square root of the addition and the result is 26.92 m. So, the minimum distance here is 27 m.

Q 8 - Saif started to move towards South-East direction in an open field and stopped after moving 100m. Now he turned to his right-hand side and moved 75 m. How much minimum distance he has to cover to reach his starting point?

Options :

Here, we have to apply the Pythagoras theorem to get the answer. We will take the square of each number i.e. 100 and 75, which are 10000 and 5625 respectively. Next, we will add them and the result of addition is 15625. Finally, we will take the square root of the addition and the result is 125 m. So, the minimum distance here is 125 m.
