Options :

Here, we have to apply the Pythagoras theorem to get the answer. We will take the square of each number i.e. 20 and 15, which are 400 and 225 respectively. Next, we will add them and the result of addition is 625. Finally, we will take the square root of the addition and the result is 25 m. So, the minimum distance here is 25 m.

Q 9 - Baishnav started walking towards North. After walking 300 m, he turned towards left-hand side and walked 400 m. He then turned left-hand side and walked 300 m. he again turned left-hand side and walked 500m. How far is he from his initial position?

Options :

When Baishnav walked 300m North and turned left-hand side and walked 400m and again turned left-hand side and walked 300 m, he is at 400 m to the West of his initial position. Options :

Here, we have to apply the Pythagoras theorem to get the answer. We will take the square of each number i.e. 48 and 38, which are 2304 and 1444 respectively. Next, we will add them and the result of addition is 3748. Finally, we will take the square root of the addition and the result is 61.22 m. So, the minimum distance here is 61 m.
