When PVC rod Is rubbed with silk cloth what would happen?

The work function of an object is defined as the minimum amount of energy required to take out an electron from that object. Here the work function of silk cloth is less than that of plastic. When plastic and silk cloth are rubbed together, heat energy is produced because of friction. The object with a lower work function requires less energy to lose its electrons. Since the heat generated between them reaches the work function of silk cloth, the electrons start moving from the silk cloth to the PVC rod.
