What happens when silk cloth rubs with a glass rod?

Silk cloth is negatively charged and the glass rod is positively charged. When a glass rod is rubbed with a silk cloth, the electrons start flowing from the glass rod to the silk cloth. So after rubbing the glass rod becomes positively charged and the silk cloth becomes negatively charged.
