Given: The edge of a cube is 20cm.

To find: How many small cubes of 5cm edge can be formed from this cube

Solution:
Edge of cube = 20 cm

Volume of cube = 20x20x20

The volume of each small cube = 5x5x5

Number of cubes
= $\frac{20 \times 20 \times 20}{5 \times 5 \times 5}$
=64
