Find the lateral surface area and total surface area of a cube of edge $10\ cm$.

Given:

A cube of edge $10\ cm$.

To do:

We have to find the lateral surface area and total surface area of the cube.

Solution:

Edge of the cube $(s) = 10\ cm$

Lateral surface area of the cube $= 4s^2$

$= 4 \times (10)^2$

$= 4 \times 100$

$= 400\ cm^2$

Total surface area of the cube $= 6s^2$

$= 6 \times (10)^2$

$= 6 \times 100$

$= 600\ cm^2$
