Given:

Number of students in class 6 $=80$.

Number of students of class 6 who passed the exam $=40$.

Number of students in class 8 $=90$.

Number of students of class 8 who passed the exam $=30$.

We have to find which class is having a high pass percentage.

Solution:

Percentage of students who passed the class 6 exam $=\frac{40}{80}\times100$%

$=\frac{1}{2}\times100$%

$=50$%

Percentage of students who passed the class 6 exam $=\frac{30}{90}\times100$%

$=\frac{1}{3}\times100$%

$=33.33$%

 Therefore, class 6 has a higher pass percentage.
