We have to find the number of students in the class.

Solution :

Let the number of students in the class be x.

This implies,

$x( \ Rs.x ) = 2401₹$

$x^2 = 2401$

$x^2 = 49 \times 49$

$x^2 = 49^2$

$x = 49$

Therefore, the number of students in the class is $49$.
