You are given two samples of water labelled as 'A' and 'B'. Sample 'A' boils at 100oC and sample 'B' boils at 102oC. Which sample of water will not freeze at 0oC? Comment.
Sample ‘B’ which boils at 102°C contains impurities. At 1 atm the boiling point of water is 100°C and the freezing point is 0°C. Hence, as sample B does not boil at 100°C, It will also not freeze at 0°C. There will be a depression in freezing point.
