Why does a person drink a hot tea on a chilly winter day or iced tea on a hot summer day?
Out temperature must balance the surrounding atmospheric conditions. We know that heat transfers from the hot body to a cool the body. On a chilly winter day, the temperature tries to go from our body to the surroundings. So to balance that we will take hot items such as hot tea or coffee. Similarly, On a hot summer day, the temperature from the outside surroundings tries to enter our body. So to balance we take cool items.
