Why does a desert cooler cool better on a hot, dry day?
A desert cooler cools better on a hot, dry day because higher temperature and dryness of air increase the rate of evaporation of water from the cooler, causing an enhanced cooling effect. When humidity is high and temperature is low, the rate of evaporation decreases and cooling also decreases.
