# If the marked price of an article is ₹18000 and the discount is 10%, then find the discount amount.

**Given :**

Marked price $=$ ₹ 18000.

Discount % $=$ 10%.

**To do :**

We have to find the discount amount.

**Solution :**

We know that,

Discount % $= (Actual Discount ÷ M.P.) \times 100$%

##### 10% $= \frac{Discount}{18000} \times 100$%
