If the marked price of an article is ₹18000 and the discount is 10%, then find the discount amount.
Given :
Marked price $=$ ₹ 18000.
Discount % $=$ 10%.
To do :
We have to find the discount amount.
Solution :
We know that,
Discount % $= (Actual Discount ÷ M.P.) \times 100$%
10% $= \frac{Discount}{18000} \times 100$%
Discount $= 10 \times 180$
Discount $= ₹1800$.
The discount amount is ₹1800.
