How does the kinetic energy of a moving body depend on its (i) speed, and (ii) mass?
We know the formula for the kinetic energy, $K=\frac{1}{2}mv^2$
Here $K\rightarrow$ kinetic energy
$m\rightarrow$mass of the body
$v\rightarrowvelocity of the moving body
Therefore, the kinetic energy is directly proportional to the mass of the moving body and to the square of the velocity of the moving body.
Thus, the more mass and velocity in a moving body, the more kinetic energy it posses.
