(a) On what factors does the gravitational potential energy of a body depend? (b) Give one example each of a body possessing: (i) kinetic energy, and (ii) potential energy.

(a). As known the equation for the potential energy: $U=mgh$

Where $U\rightarrow$ potential energy of a body

$m\rightarrow$ mass of the body

$g\rightarrow$ gravitational acceleration

$h\rightarrow$height of the body placed

So, from the above equation, it is clear that the potential energy of a body depends on the mass, gravitational acceleration, and height of the body.

(b) (i). A moving car possesses kinetic energy.

(ii). A stone placed on the roof possesses potential energy.
