What will happen to the kinetic energy of a body if its mass is doubled ?

As known Kinetic energy $K=\frac{1}{2}mv^2$

Where $m\rightarrow$ mass of the body

And $v\rightarrow$ velocity of the moving body

When the mass of the body is doubled, the mass becomes $2m$

Then kinetic energy $=\frac{1}{2}( 2m)v^2$

$=2\times \frac{1}{2}mv^2$

Thus, the kinetic energy becomes double when the mass of the body is doubled.
