Find the indicated terms in each of the following sequences whose nth terms are:
$ a_{n}=5 n-4 ; a_{12} $ and $ a_{15} $

Given:

$a_{n}=5 n-4$

To do:

We have to find $a_{12}$ and $a_{15}$.

Solution:

 To find $a_{12}$, we have to substitute $12$ in place of $n$ in $a_{n}=5 n-4$.

This implies,

$a_{12}=5(12)-4$

$=60-4$

$=56$.

 To find $a_{15}$, we have to substitute $15$ in place of $n$ in $a_{n}=5 n-4$.

This implies,

$a_{15}=5(15)-4$

$=75-4$

$=71$.

Therefore, $a_{12}=56$ and $a_{15}=71$.
