Given: Diameter of a bangle is $7\ cm$. Thin stripe of gold is to be fixed on this bangle,  rate of gold $Rs.\ 100$ per $1\ cm$.

To do: To find the cost $( in\ Rs)$ of gold.

Solution:

Given the diameter of a bangle $( d) = 7\ cm$

Length of Thin strips of the gold fixed on the bangle $=$ Circumference of the circle

$=\pi d$

$= ( \frac{22}{7}) \times 7\ cm$

$= 22\ cm$

Now, Cost of the gold fixing $1\ cm = Rs.\ 100$

Cost of fixing $22\ cm = 100 \times 22$

$= Rs\ 2200$
