Given:

Cost of a dozen oranges$=Rs.\ 21$.

To do:

We have to find the cost of 20 oranges.

Solution:

Cost of 12 oranges$=Rs.\ 21$

Cost of 1 orange$=Rs.\ \frac{21}{12}=Rs.\ \frac{7}{4}$

Cost of 20 oranges$=Rs. 20\times \frac{7}{4}=Rs.\ 5\times7=Rs.\ 35$.

The cost of 20 oranges is Rs. 35.
