Description

Groovy List getAt(Collection indices) method returns the elements at indices specified by collection.

Syntax

public List getAt(Collection indices)

Parameters

indices − a Collection of indices.

Return Value

The values at the given indices.

Example - Getting items from a List of Integers

Following is an example of the usage of this method −

main.groovy

def lst = [1,2, 3, 4, 5]
def items = lst.getAt([1, 0, 2])

println(items)

Output

When we run the above program, we will get the following result −

[2, 1, 3]

Example - Getting items from a List of Strings

Following is an example of the usage of this method −

main.groovy

def lst = ["Apple","Mango","Orange", "Papaya", "Peach"]
def items = lst.getAt([1, 0, 2])

println(items)

Output

When we run the above program, we will get the following result −

[Mango, Apple, Orange]

Example - Getting items from a List of Objects

Following is an example of the usage of this method −

def lst = [new Student(1, "Julie"),new Student(2, "Robert"),new Student(3, "Adam")];

def items = lst.getAt([1, 0, 2])

println(items)
