What are the most harmful foods that we buy and eat every day, without knowing?
Your life depends on your lifestyle choices. Nutrition is one part of your lifestyle that significantly affects your health and wellness. Nowadays in the market, you find a lot of foods shelved. Some of them are extremely unhealthy to consume and should be avoided at all costs. Here is a list of a few:
Microwave Popcorn
Avoid! The ease of making them and their magical flavor will always tempt you. But avoid them! The bag containing popcorn has Perfluorooctanoic acid or more commonly known as PFOA. It is the toxin that is capable of causing cancer and infertility. Additionally, the flavor of butter is the presence of diacetyl chemical, makes you seriously ill. Plus the oils used in popcorn are loaded with trans-fats.
Artificial Sweeteners
These are used as substitutes for natural sugar, in an attempt to control calorie intake. But there is a side effect associated with the consumption of Artificial sweeteners. You will crave for natural sugar even more after consuming artificial sweeteners.
Nonorganic Strawberries
Such strawberries are grown in the controlled environments, including heavy use of pesticides that contain the carcinogen. The carcinogen is a substance that causes cancer.
Tomato Sauce
Tomato is a healthy source of vitamins, but nowadays tomato sauce contains high percentages of sugar and sodium. Heavy amounts of sugar and sodium are harmful to your health.
Frozen Meals
Frozen meals are preferred as they save time and you get a variety of meals. They are also considered favorable in case of weight loss. But that is not the reality. Frozen meals contain hydrogenated oils which mean they contain some amount of trans fats. Avoid such meals that contain hydrogenated oils.
