What is an animal cell? Explain it's types.

Animal Cells

They are the basic unit of life in organisms of the kingdom Animalia

They are eukaryotic cells, that is enclosed by a plasma membrane or cell membrane, which contains a true nucleus and specialized structures called organelles to carry out different functions. Due to the absence of the cell wall, they are irregular in shape.

An animal cell consists of a variety of different organelles that work together to allow the cell to perform its functions. They are-

Cell Membrane, Nuclear Membrane, Nucleus, Cytoplasm, Centrosome, Lysosome, Golgi Apparatus, Ribosome, Mitochondrion, Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER), Vacuole, Nucleopore

There are different types of animal cells, which are designed to serve specific functions. The most common types of animal cells are:

1. Skin Cells

2. Blood Cells

3. Nerve Cells

4. Muscle Cells

5. Fat Cells
