Why cell wall is present only in plant cells and not in animal cells? (Explain in simple words)

The cell wall is present only in plant cells but not in animal cells because they provide rigidity and support to plants. The cell wall provides definite shape, strength, and protection against mechanical stress and physical shocks. It helps to control cell expansion due to the intake of water. Also helps in preventing water loss from the cell.

Every cell has a cell membrane that is flexible in nature. Therefore, animals cells are present in various shapes. Plant cells acquire the shapes of their cell walls.
