Solve the following :$x = 12 - \frac{1}{3} x$

Given :

$x = 12 - \frac{1}{3} x$ is the given expression.

To find :

We have to find the value of $x$.

Solution :

$x = 12 - \frac{1}{3} x$

$x+\frac{1}{3} x = 12$

$\frac{(3x+x)}{3} = 12$

$4x = 12(3)$

$4x = 36$

$x = \frac{36}{4}$

$x = 9$

Therefore, the value of $x$ is $9$.
