If $\frac{2}{3}$ of property is worth Rs. 7000, find the value of $\frac{1}{3}$ of it.
Given :
$\frac{2}{3}$ of property = Rs. 7000
To find :
We have to find the value of $\frac{1}{3}$ of property.
Solution :
$\frac{1\times2}{3}$ of property =Rs. 7000
$\frac{1}{3}$ of property $= Rs. \frac{7000}{2}$ [bring 2 to the opposite side]
$\frac{1}{3}$ of property $=Rs. 3500$
Therefore, $\frac{1}{3}$ of property $ is Rs. 3500$.
