If $1A\times A=9A$. Find the value of $A$.

Given: $1A\times A=9A$.

To do: To find $A$.

Solution:

$1A\times A=9A$

$\Rightarrow ( 10+A)\times A=9A$

$10A+A^2=90+ A$

$\Rightarrow  A^2+ 9A-90=0$

$\Rightarrow  A^2+ 15A-6A-90 =0$

$\Rightarrow  A( A+ 15)-6( A+ 15)=0$

$\Rightarrow  (A-6)(A+ 15)=0$

$\Rightarrow  A=6$

On substituting $A=6$,

$1A\times A=9A=16\times6=96$

Thus, $A=6$ for $1A\times A=9A$.
