How will you distinguish between a plane mirror, a concave mirror and a convex mirror without touching them?
To distinguish between a plane mirror, a concave mirror, and a convex mirror without touching them, we place an object extremely close to all these three mirrors:-
1. If the image formed is virtual, erect, and of the same size as the object, then it will be a plane mirror.
2. If the image formed is virtual, erect, and large-sized, then it will be a concave mirror.
3. If the image formed is virtual, erect, and small-sized, then it will be a convex mirror.
