How light travel?
Light is a form of energy produced by a light source, like the sun, stars, electric bulbs, etc. It is made up of photons that travel as a transverse wave. Unlike sound waves which need a medium (like air or water) to travel through, light does not need any matter or material medium to carry its energy along, rather it can travel in the vacuum of space. Also, light can be reflected, refracted, and dispersed.
Light travels at a speed of 299,792,458 m/s ( nearly 300,000 km/s), whereas sound only travels at a speed of about 330 m/s through the air, so light is nearly a million times faster than sound.
