Why does light travel faster than sound like we see lightning faster than thunder?

It is, because the speed of the light$( 3\times10^8\ ms^{-1})$ is more than the speed of the sound$( 332\ ms^{-1})$. That's why light travels faster than sound and we see  lightning faster than thunder.
