We have to find the mean of the given frequency distribution.

Solution:

Let the assumed mean be $A=15$

 We know that,

Mean $=A+\frac{\sum{f_id_i}}{\sum{f_i}}$    

Therefore,  

Mean $=15+\frac{30}{40}$

$=15+\frac{3}{4}$

$=15+0.75$

$=15.75$

The mean of the given frequency distribution is $15.75$.
