Factorise $ a^{3}-a^{2}+a-1 $.

Given :

The given exression is \( a^{3}-a^{2}+a-1 \).

To do :

We have to find the factors of the given expression.

Solution :

$a^{3}-a^{2}+a-1=a^{2}(a-1) +1( a - 1) $

$=(a^2+1)(a-1)$

Therefore, the factors of the given expression are $(a^2+1)$ and $(a-1)$.
