Factorise the following:$2x^2-2\sqrt{2}+1$.

Given :

The given expression is $2x^2-2\sqrt{2}x+1$.

To do :

We have to factorize the given expression.

Solution :

$2x^2-2\sqrt{2}x+1=2x^2-\sqrt{2}x-\sqrt{2}x+1$

                                 $= \sqrt{2}x (\sqrt{2}x-1)-1(\sqrt{2}x-1)$

                                 $= (\sqrt{2}x-1)(\sqrt{2}x-1)$

                                $= (\sqrt{2}x-1)^2$

Therefore, the factors of $2x^2-2\sqrt{2}x+1$ are, $(\sqrt{2}x-1)$ and $(\sqrt{2}x-1)$.
