By how much is $-3a + 4b -5c$ greater than $8a + b -6c$?



Given:  $-3a + 4b -5c$  and $8a + b -6c$

To find:  We have to find by how much is $-3a + 4b -5c$  greater than $8a + b -6c$.

Solution:

$-3a + 4b -5c  - ( 8a + b -6c)$

=$ -3a + 4b -5c -8a -b + 6c$

=$-11a + 3b + c$


Therefore, $ -3a + 4b -5c$ is greater than $8a + b -6c by  -11a + 3b + c$
