It is an evident fact that Garlic is very helpful in maintaining our health. Due to the presence of Allicin, the Sulphur containing compound along with vitamin B1, B2, B3, B6, folate, vitamin C, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, potassium, sodium, zinc etc., Garlic has been regarded as the most useful food product.

The Goodness of Garlic pods provides relief from cold and flu, prevent heart ailments and cancer as it has rich anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. It also acts as a blood purifier and helps to cure many skin and hair problems. Garlic is proven to control blood pressure and obesity too.

Use Garlic

There are many ways you can use garlic depending upon your requirement. Usually, we use garlic in preparing curries, chutneys etc. While many of us prepare dishes specially made of Garlic such as Garlic bread, Garlic soup, Chilly Garlic chutney, Garlic powder etc. It is better to leave the crushed garlic for 5 minutes so that it reacts with oxygen to form Allicin. All these mixes and side dishes help us consume a good amount of Garlic. We also have some other ways.

  • Have a raw Garlic clove in your first bite of food every day or take 2 or 3 cooked cloves of garlic in your food every day.

  • You can also add 2 or 3 crushed garlic cloves to a juice of lemon, mixed in a cup of lukewarm water. Drink this early in the morning to reduce obesity.

  • You can also chew 2 crushed garlic cloves on an empty stomach, before going to bed which reduces your weight.

  • Prepare some Garlic tea by brewing raw garlic and add a few drops of honey or ginger. This relieves you from a cold and blocked nose.

  • Crush two garlic cloves and mix in a glass of milk. Drink after 10 minutes.

  • If you have a splinter-cut, crush a clove of garlic and place it on the cut. Now tie a bandage and leave to get it cured in a day.

  • Massaging crushed Garlic or garlic oil in your hair prevents hair loss and improves hair growth.

  • You can consume Garlic by crushing a few garlic cloves in a mixer and collecting a spoonful that juice. After having this, drink lukewarm water.

  • Crushed Garlic is usually better when consumed with ginger, lemon or honey.
