How to cure blisters on your feet using natural remedies?
Blisters are really painful, especially after we pop them after taking off our tight-fitting shoes. One must never make this mistake as it would provide a perfect recipe for infection. Many people who have blisters feel lazy going to a doctor, thinking that it would heal itself in some time. But the truth is, blisters don’t go off so quickly and cause persistent pain and inconvenience.
However, there are no problems in the world that can’t be solved. If you ever have a blister, you should immediately follow any of these long tested and proven natural remedies to expedite the healing process.
Natural Aloe Vera Gel
One of the best natural remedies to heal blisters in a quick span is to apply natural Aloe Vera gel that is present at the center of the plant. Apply the gel gently on your blister and let it dry naturally. Remove it later with lukewarm water.
Aloe vera is rich with anti-inflammatory substances, therefore quickly reduces redness and brings the swelling down. Aloe Vera also adds the cooling effect that takes the pain away.
Garlic and Thyme
Using garlic and thyme for curing blister is a very effective remedy to get rid of blisters. Thyme is well known for its anti-inflammatory and disinfectant properties. Garlic, on the other hand, is a very effective natural antibiotic having the efficacy of treating any wound or abrasion.
The procedure is as follows:
Take a container and pour 5 liters water into it. Put the container over the fire until the water boils and then add 100 grams of thyme.
Let the water cool a bit and soak your blister affected feet into it for at least 15-20 mins. Don’t get tempted to pop up your blisters if they are not big as it could lead to infection.
You now need to crush the three cloves of garlic and soak into two bandages.
Use the bandages for application over blisters and leave it for 15 minutes. After you remove the bandage, don’t wash your feet as it’s good to let the garlic keep doing its work.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is also a very effective natural remedy to say goodbye to blisters. The vinegar is worth using because of its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties
Use a cotton ball to apply apple cider vinegar on your blisters. You can also dilute the vinegar with some water in order to avoid the sting.
If you don’t want to dilute the vinegar with water, then you can make a mixture of 1/2 teaspoon of onion paste with 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. The mixture is highly effective and you should let it dry on your blisters before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.
Green Tea
Green tea is also rich in anti-inflammatory substances, therefore finds a place in the list of top natural remedies for blisters. A simple procedure to cure your blisters using green tea is mentioned below:
Slip a tea bag in a cup of hot water for about 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, remove the tea bag and allow it to cool.
Now, gently place the tea bag over your blister for a few minutes.
Repeat this process for 4-5 times a day and your blister will go away in a few days.
