Count The Number Of Characters Excluding Spaces
Here we will use the formula to get any one of the values, then use the auto-fill handle to complete the task. So let us see a simple process to know how you can count the number of characters, excluding spaces, in Excel.
Step 1
Consider an Excel sheet where you have a list of sentences as shown in the below image.
Now, first click on an empty cell and enter the formula as =LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A2," ","") and click enter to get the first result. In the formula, A2 is the address of the cell containing the sentence.
