Why is the breathing rate of of women and children higher than men?
The breathing rate of women and children is higher than men. The diameter of lung is smaller in women and children than in men. The reduced diameter of airways and lung volume results in increase rate of respiration. As there is less place the oxygen travel through lungs quickly and carbon dioxide is excelled.
