What is Pollination?
Pollination is the act of transferring pollen grains from the anther (male part) of a flower to the stigma (female part) of a flower, later enabling fertilization and the production of seeds, most often by an animal or by the wind.
There are two types of pollination:-
1. Self-Pollination- This types of pollination occur when the pollen of one flower transfers to the stigma of the same flower, or another flower of the same plant.
2. Cross-Pollination- This types of pollination occurs when the pollen of one flower transfers to the stigma of another flower of different plants of the same species.

DIRECTIONS: Read the passage(s) given below and answer the questions that follow. Passage- The transfer of pollen from another to the stigma of a flower is called pollination. If the pollen lands on the stigma of the same flower it is called self-pollination. When the pollen of a flower lands on the stigma of another flower of the same plant, or that of a different plant of the same kind, it is called cross-pollination.
