Define pollination and its types, with the help of a labelled diagram.

Pollination is the act of transferring pollen grains from the anther (male part) of a flower to the stigma (female part) of a plant, later enabling fertilization and the production of seeds, most often by an animal or by the wind.

There are two types of pollination:-

1. Self-Pollination-  This types of pollination occur when the pollen of one flower transfers to the stigma of the same flower, or another flower of the same plant.

2. Cross-Pollination- This types of pollination occurs when the pollen of one flower transfers to the stigma of another flower of different plants of the same species.
