How does the skeletal system help us?


The skeletal system is the framework of the body, consisting of bones and other connective tissues.

It is composed of around 270 bones at birth – which become around 206 bones by adulthood after some bones get fused together.

The skeletal system helps us in the following ways:

1. Supports and shapes the body.

2. Allows Movement.

3. Protect internal organs.

4. Stores and releases minerals & fat.

5. Produces blood cells.
