Given:

Given A.P. is $13, 8, 3, -2, ……..$

To do:
We have to find the nth term of the given A.P.

Solution:

Here,

$a_1=13, a_2=8, a_3=3, a_4=-2$

Common difference $d=a_2-a_1=8-13=-5$

We know that,

nth term $a_n=a+(n-1)d$

Therefore,

nth term $a_n=13+(n-1)(-5)$

$=13+(-5)n+(-1)(-5)$

$=13+5-5n$

$=18-5n$

The nth term of the given A.P. is $18-5n$.
