Evaluate the following:$\frac{3}{5} + \frac{1}{2}$.

Given :

The given expression is $\frac{3}{5} + \frac{1}{2}$.

To do :

We have to evaluate the given expression.

Solution :

$\frac{3}{5} + \frac{1}{2}$

LCM of 5 and 2 is 10.

$\frac{3}{5}=\frac{(3\times 2)}{(5\times 2)}=\frac{6}{10}$

$\frac{1}{2}=\frac{(1\times 5)}{(2 \times 5)}=\frac{5}{10}$

Therefore,

$\frac{3}{5} + \frac{1}{2}=\frac{6}{10}+\frac{5}{10}=\frac{(6+5)}{10}=\frac{11}{10}$.

Therefore, the value of $\frac{3}{5} + \frac{1}{2}$ is $\frac{11}{10}$.
