Evaluate the following:
$\frac{5}{8}$+$\frac{2}{7}$+$\frac{5}{8}$

Given:$\frac{5}{8}$+$\frac{2}{7}$+$\frac{5}{8}$

To do: Evaluate the given expression.

Solution:

$\frac{5}{8}$+$\frac{2}{7}$+$\frac{5}{8}$

Taking LCM of 7 and 8, denominators of the fractions.

LCM = $7 \times 8 = 56$

Making the fractions like fractions so that they can be added

=$\frac{5\times7}{8\times7} +\frac{2\times8}{7\times8} + \frac{5\times7}{8\times7}$

=$\frac{35}{56} + \frac{16}{56} + \frac{35}{56}$

= $\frac{35 + 16 + 35}{56}$

=$ \frac{86}{56}$

= $\frac{43}{28}$

So the answer is $\frac{43}{28}$
