We know that,

$1\ km=1000\ m$

Therefore, 

The distance walked by Naresh in the morning $= 2\ km\ 35\ m$

$= (2 + \frac{35}{1000})\ km$

$=(2+0.035)\ km$

$= 2.035\ km$

The distance walked by Naresh in the evening $= 1\ km\ 7\ m$

$= (1 + \frac{7}{1000})\ km$

$=(1+0.007)\ km$

$= 1.007\ km$

Total distance walked by Naresh is,

  $2.035$
