Mobile Angular UI - Capture

Advertisements

The capture module has two important directives uiContentFor and uiYieldTo. Let us take a look at a working example to see the working of the directive. The directives are useful to change the content based on the view loaded. They are many use cases for the same. Take a look at the example and decide how best to make use of it.

To make use of only the capture module you need to add angular.module('myFirstApp', ['mobile-angular-ui.core.capture']);

      <!-- Modals and Overlays -->
      <div ui-yield-to="modals"></div>

   </body>
</html>

For the navbar, we have added ui-yield-todirective as shown below −

<div class="navbar navbar-app navbar-absolute-top">
   <div class="navbar-brand navbar-brand-center" ui-yield-to="title">
      TutorialsPoint
   </div>
   <div class="btn-group pull-left">
      <div ui-toggle="uiSidebarLeft" class="btn sidebar-left-toggle">
         <i class="fa fa-th-large "></i> Tutorials
      </div>
   </div>
   <div class="btn-group pull-right" ui-yield-to="navbarAction">
      <div ui-toggle="uiSidebarRight" class="btn sidebar-right-toggle">
         <i class="fal fa-search"></i> eBooks
      </div>
   </div>
</div>

The details are part of the top most header as shown below −

Header

When you view is loaded you have access to the html content as it is part of global $scope. Using ui-content-for directive, you can easily change the title when you view is loaded. For example, inside home/home.html add the following −

<div ui-content-for="title">
   <span>Home Page</span>
</div>

<div class="list-group text-center">
   <div class="list-group-item list-group-item-home">
      <h1>{{msg}}</h1>
   </div>
</div>

Now see the title changing in the browser from TutorialsPoint to Home Page when the view is replaced with home/home.html.

Header Core

So using the directives, you can assign the variable to ui-yield-to and update the variable using ui-content-for.
