Here, we will first use the INT formula to get the first result, then use the autofill handler to get all the results. Let us look at a simple procedure for converting kilogrammes to stones and pounds in Excel using formulas.
Step 1
Consider the following image of an Excel sheet containing a list of weights in kilograms.
To convert the values to stones and pounds, click on an empty cell, in this case cell B2, and enter the formula as follows.
=INT(CONVERT(A2,"kg","lbm")/14)&"st"&ROUND(MOD(CONVERT(A2,"kg","lbm"),14),0)&" lbs "
and press Enter to get the first result, as shown in the image below.
The value of a stone is represented by st in the formula A2, which is the address of our values in the excel sheet, and pounds are represented by lbs.
Step 2
Now to get all the other results, drag down from the first result using the auto-fill handle, and our final result will be similar to the below image.
