Explain why it is safer to use a wireless telephone instead of a landline telephone during lightning.

During lightning, an electric charge may discharge through the cords of the landline telephone and it may become dangerous. Therefore, the use of mobile phones and wireless/cordless phones during lightning is much safer than that of using a landline phone.
