Note
The Preliminary Examination (PT) consists of two papers carrying 200 marks each.
The Preliminary Examination is of Objective Type (having multiple choice questions) and each paper carries 100 (objective type) questions.
Only PT qualifying candidates are allowed for the Main Exam.
Each paper will be of two hours duration.
The written examination consists of six papers.
Marks obtained in PT are just qualifying and hence no role in final selection or ranking.
Marks obtained in rest six papers (from Paper I to Paper VI of written exam) and in interview play major role in the final selection or ranking.
