Which type of mirror can form a real image?
A concave mirror can form a real image.
Image formation by a concave mirror
- When an object is placed very close to the concave mirror, a magnified, erect, and virtual image is obtained.
- On increasing the distance between the object and the mirror, the size of the image gets decreased, and a real and inverted image is formed.
- Thus, the image formed by a concave mirror can be small or large and real or virtual depending on the distance between the object and the concave mirror.
