What is CDFS?

History of CDFS
Simson Garfinkel and J. Spencer Love developed the CDFS in 1985 and 1986. Write Once CD-ROM was used to develop the CDFS. The motive of designing the CDFS was to store different types of files. CDFS standard was used to save the disk image.
Uses of CDFS
CDFS is an organized file system which is used to organize files on a hard disk. Some of the uses of CDFS are listed below −
CDFS is used to create a way which helps in the creation of the root directory

CDFS can be used to burn CDs so that data can be transferred from other devices to the CDs easily
