Why in summer wearing cotton clothes is preferred in comparison to synthetic clothes?

Cotton clothes are thin and soft. They have spaces in their fabrics through which air can pass easily, so cotton clothes do not let our body heat up. It is light and Breezy which helps a lot in summer. It absorbs moisture easily so we don't sweat much.

On the other hand, Synthetic Clothes are thick and have a rough texture. They are unable to absorb sweat from our body and evaporation process do not occur or occur slowly. That's why it is very hot to wear it in summer.
