What is the exact meaning of fabric?


Fibres are thread-like structures that are long, thin and flexible. These may be spun into yarns and then made into fabrics. 

Fabric means a woven material, a textile or other material resembling woven cloth. Fabric is made up of yarns.

Fabrics are made by the two main processes known as weaving and knitting.


Use of Fabric: 

Fabrics are mostly used for clothing and for containers such as bags and baskets. In the household, they are used in carpeting, upholstered furnishings, window shades, towels, coverings for tables, beds, and other flat surfaces, and in art.
